In its latest press release dated 9 December 2014, the Reserve Bank of India has set the reference rate for US dollar as Rupees 61.8750. The reference rate for US dollar on 8 December 2014 was Rupees 61.9253. Based upon the reference rate that has been set for US dollar, reference rates for other major currencies have also been announced by India’s central bank. The reference rate of Rupee for Euro has been set at 76.29 for 9 December. This rate was 76.29 for December 8.

RBI has also set reference rate of Rupee against other major currencies. The reference rate of rupee against British Pound for 9 December 2014 has been set at 96.90. This rate on 8 December was 96.37 on Monday. In terms of Japanese currency Yen, the reference rate of rupee has been set against 100 Yen as 51.61 for 9December 2014. This reference rate was 50.98 on 8 December 2014.
