The machine comes mated to a 6 speed constant mesh gearbox. An all aluminum DiASil cylinder ensures outstanding heat dissipation while the exclusive design minimizes loss of horsepower. A compression ratio of 11.2:1 helps to deliver maximum power of 10,750 rpm.

The bike will come in three colors to choose from- Team Yamaha Blue, Rapid Red and Matte Silver. A low seat with racetrack looks is sure going to make the bike a must want in generation next’s list.
Competition
As per the pricing and performance parameters, the Yamaha YZF-R3 would sit between Kawasaki Ninja 300 and KTM RC 390. The YZF R3 is planned to be included in the company’s Blu Cru contingency program for racers.
