Vice President Ansari Discusses Economic and Political Scenarios at Forum on Global Governance

Speaking at the “4th Asian Forum on Global Governance”, The Vice President of India Shri M. Hamid Ansari shared his views with the participants about the political and democratic system as well as various environmental, economic, political and socio issues in Asian and international context. The event was led by Shri Shashi Tharoor, Member of Parliament and the Founding Dean of the Forum on Tuesday.

The interaction that took place between Mr. Ansari and young professional leaders encompassed various fields concerned with global governance.

The professionals were wished good success in their careers ahead by the Vice President.

The participants present today had come from 33 different countries and were all between the age group of 28 to 35 years. They were nominated by Heads of Governments, major companies, universities, militaries, Ministries, NGOs and international organizations. After which they were carefully selected by a jury of experts from Germany and India.
The forum is a concerted effort between the ZEIT-Stiftung Ebelin und Gerd Bucerious based in Hamburg, Germany and Observer Research Foundation (ORF). It was created to serve as a common dais for bringing young professional leaders from across the globe together to discuss and deliberate issues affecting the world today.
