Existing thyroid patients, have a biological tendency to carry on with a mild or severe condition of Hypothyroids for years on end. The process normally goes on undetected, until it’s too late. This statement also means that patients with apparently “normal thyroid” gland functioning, may be having a bad series of Hypothyroids/ hypothyroidism that doesn’t show up in the tests at all.

The reason it happens is because of the standard pathology test profile. There’s no one to blame here, except for the fact that standard tests are not intense in nature. They’re designed to lightly screen a patient for primary signs of thyroid infections; advanced disease level doesn’t show up.

It is your job to develop awareness about hypothyroidism, in order to save yourself from any harmful series of infectious invasions. Initial symptoms of hypothyroidism can be detected through the following signs;

-          Series of chronic tiredness

-          Constant constipation with mild or stern profiling

-          Skin getting dry and giving out a cold feeling

Women need to pay extra attention to hypothyroidism. If a girl’s mother has been known to have thyroid infection, then the said girl is prone to an advanced stage of hypothyroid illness. It can result in permanent discontinuation or disturbance in the menopausal cycle, constant stress and body pains.

As much as the medication has been known to cull hypothyroidism, there are certain food items that a patient can take to accelerate the healing process. Take food with a rich degree of tyrosine. The rich amalgamation of tyrosine with amino acid, when combined with iodine, results in the production of Thyroxin. It is a hormone that has been known to act as a catalyst against hypothyroidism.

Patients are advised to opt for Lima beans, bananas, pumpkin seeds, lentils and chicken breast based food. In addition to organic food items, patients can also take a prescribed set of tyrosine supplements. However, the supplements are supposed to be taken on an empty stomach to avoid any severe reactions.

Thyroid is primarily caused by the deficiency of Iodine. Hence it’d be convenient to opt for food sources that are high on iodine components. Eatable items that include, Celtic sea salt, seaweed, (Sushi or Nori Rolls), saltwater fish and various categories of other sea fish, should be taken in abundance.

With every meal, it is advisable to eat a high degree of protein. Exercise enthusiasts can take their usual whey protein to cull any possible future outbreak of hypothyroidism. Another important counter thyroid component is sunlight. While not indigestible  this simple gift of nature can be used to aid you in a rapid recovery.

On daily basis, expose yourself to sunlight for 15 to 20 minutes. Sun’s rays have been known for stimulating the pineal gland, which is primarily responsible for affecting the thyroid, as well as all other endocrine glands.
