PM and the great man himself has arrived in Sydney where he will address a large gathering of Indian diaspora later in the day.
Wherever he goes, he creates history. Such is the charisma of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi that people start to dance to his tune whether it is India, Nepal, Japan, US, or Australia. It is not just the world leaders who have been greatly impressed by the magnetic persona of Modi. He was the most sought after leader during the annual G-20 summit. People of Indian community in Australia are going gaga over him. Enthusiastic supporters of Modi are taking a 12 hour journey from Melbourne to Sydney on a special train called Modi express where he will address a large gathering of Indian Diaspora.
Supporters and fans of Modi showed no signs of fatigue even after taking a 12 hour trek on Modi express as it arrived in Sydney today. This is for the first time that a special train has been chartered for a politician and his supporters. More than 200 people boarded this special train at 8 PM on 16 November and they kept singing patriotic songs all through the journey. It was a festive atmosphere in the train and local people were seen surprised and interested in knowing what was going on. This special train service was arranged by Overseas Friends of BJP to honor the PM who is on his official visit to Australia. Now that G-20 summit is over, Modi is on a mission to capture the hearts of a large Indian community that lives in Australia.

This special train was flagged of by Matthew Guy, Multicultural Minister in Tony Abbott government. Matthew said that this visit by the Indian PM is significant not only for the Indians living in Australia but also to strengthen Indo-Australian relations. These 200 people on this train will be joined by thousands more when Modi address Indian community in Sydney. It looks like Modi the Rockstar will steal the thunder once again as he did at Madison Square in New York. It is hard to believe that there is a special train decorated with tricolor balloons and posters of Narendra Modi here in Australia.
During the 12 hour journey, passengers were served Gujarati food items among which were Dhokla and Fafda, two of the dishes that are Modi’s favorites. Hundreds of Indians arrived from nearby Victoria just to catch a glimpse of the Indian PM and to wave off the train and the passengers. Many of the passengers said that they were touched by the gesture of the Indian PM as he chose to complete the journey on a train and not by an airplane which is customary for world leaders.
