Uncle Sam - We Want You Image from GoogleAccording to online security specialists from China, the U.S. is responsible for carrying out cyber military attacks against the country’s armed forces computer network. There is no transparency in several statements which China made recently in the context of cyber security.

The Chinese Ministry of National Defense representative said recently that cyber-attacks against military networks and websites have increased recently. What makes this matter more complicated and serious is the fact that China, alone, is not the only country that’s safe from U.S. military cyber-attack campaigns.

Based on IP address checks, the Chinese Defense specialists claimed that an average of 144,400 cyber-attacks are executed each month against the country’s military websites, military network and military IT departments. Almost 63% of those online/ offline attacks are carried out by the U.S., as disclosed by China Ministry of Defense reps.

Are I.P Addresses Enough to Blame the U.S.?

Clearly, I.P addresses cannot be classified as enough evidence to blame the U.S. The irony of the situation is that the U.S. online security company: ‘Mandiant’ has blamed China for various attempts to hack different American military computer setups. It appears that both countries are playing the same game these days.

The Defense Ministry representative: Geng Yansheng said that IP addresses can be stolen by hackers and they are not enough to prove anything of this nature. “Everyone knows that the use of usurped IP addresses to carry out hacking attacks happens on an almost daily basis.”

But on the same hand, Chinese cyber security “experts” are not willing to shake off the IP address based evidence against the American government. I think we’re going to have to wait for something solid until further updates on this website. Stay tuned.
