As far as the processor goes, I’d say this specific model has the right combination of hardware. However, it’s the RAM that will probably bother a lot of users, who’re looking to expand it in near future. On the contrary, don’t expect a lot from Acer notebooks that fall underneath the $1,000 price tag. It’s a deception.

For all we know, the device is worth your limited budget. The Acer Aspire TimelineX AS1830T – 68U118’s plastic body reeks of a cheap impression that you normally get from these notebooks. If you’re willing to sacrifice the looks department, then the notebook is quite a good business partner.

For starters, this 11.6 inch device is recommended to all the students and office goers who want to crunch the maximum amount of output. You won’t have any problem surfing the internet on this device. As long as typing down documents is concerned, you’re gonna have to bear with the small keyboard.

But if you have sausage fingers then I’d like you to buy a cheap keyboard that will always come in handy. One last setback that this notebook suffers from is the absence of a dedicated GPU. It means no gaming and certainly no high end video content is watchable.
