Forget about the classic Alt+Ctrl+Del key combination for accessing Windows Task Bar. How about I let you in on another quick shortcut to help you directly open the Task Bar – and that too without hurting your fingers? Sounds fair enough, doesn’t it?

Okay, what happens when you press Alt+Ctrl+Del, particularly in Windows 7 and Windows 8? Windows 7 goes to your main account login screen, with multiple options at your disposal. I don’t know about Windows 8 but as long as the 7 series is concerned, the classic key combination is technically taking you out of your main workstation interface.

Plus, you have to mouse over the options to take the long way to the intended command. Here’s a new shortcut: Press Ctrl+Shift+Esc to DIRECTLY open Windows Task Bar while you are logged into your account. Both Windows 7 and Windows 8 will respond in the same fashion whenever you’ll press Ctrl+Shift+Esc.

Aaannndd let’s not forget the fact that Alt+Ctrl+Del can’t be performed with one hand. Too much retarded finger stretching involved in this…

Windows 8 Task Manager Interface - Press Ctrl Shift and Esc Altogether

I went over to a couple of websites and found out that pressing Ctrl+Alt+Delete in Windows 8 brings up a menu with several tabs in it. Through this menu, you can also access your Windows Task Bar interface, but then it will become a 2 step process. The direct combination, which is: Ctrl+Shift+Esc, is far better.

By the way, if you know any other shortcuts to enhance user experience in Windows or Mac, feel free to email us at techguy@thenational.net. We are always open to healthy comments and input from you guys. Take cares and have a great day me uno amigo.
