It is this time of the season when there’s going to be a lot of holidays and (Christmas of course, but it is far from today right now) and driving as well. Guess what, we concocted a list of iPhone applications that were built specifically for drivers and road runners from all over the world. Let’s take a look:

iPhone App Lineup - Google Images

Drive me Crazy:

  • Drive me Crazy is primarily developed by the creators of ever-so-popular Shazam. This application is free and lets you observe and report fellow drivers who recklessly own others, while in the middle of a traffic frenzy.

The application works on a one touch mode, which lets you record, repeat and submit the said license plate number of the driver. The data gets submitted to the DMV (thanks to the courtesy of Twitter and Facebook collaborators).

DriveSafe.ly:

  • This application has been released for a long time now. I have been using it, and hearing rumors about it way before it was released years ago. The best part aside from its features is that it’s absolutely FREE.

What this app does is that it helps you and motivates you to focus on the driving part, rather than sexting and talking to your girlfriend on the phone. DriveSafe.ly reads your emails, MMS, text messages aloud and lets you make an automatic response without letting you touch or look at the screen. Isn’t that safe and cool?

Cheap Gas:

  • This application applies to all sorts of drivers and excursions. Since gas prices are steepy, it’s good to save as much money as you can, through Cheap Gas app. It lets your zero in on different fuel retailers, all across the U.S. and Canada. You can then locate the particular gas station with full statistics pertaining to approximate distance, augmented reality view and much more.

What kind of travel and tourism related iPhone apps are you into? We’d love to hear about them in detail. Feel free to share your experiences through the comments below.
