The helpline numbers 09711077372 and 011-26107953 have been just released by the NDRF to assist those affected by the cyclone Hudhud in every possible way.
Apart from that around 3,80,000 people from Odisha have been relocated to safer areas in order to evacuate the vulnerable areas and mitigate the damage that can be caused by the storm.
The three states that the cyclone will hit are – Andhra Pradesh, Odisha and Telangana, due to which these states are witnessing heavy rainfall.
As per IMD’s most recent national bulletin, the cyclone is now located at a range of 380 km from Gopalpur in the south-southeast direction and 330 km from the coast of Visakhapatnam. Earlier today, nearly 24,000 people from Visakhapatnam were shifted to other safer places.
Meanwhile the officials at both State and the Centre level are confident that they are well equipped to deal with the adverse circumstances. In an interaction with media, KE Krishna Murthy, the Deputy Chief Minister said, “The government machinery is ready to face the cyclonic storm,”
