Okay first off, the whole Xbox 720 thing, it kinda puts me off. I mean c’mon’ is that a product name? For reals? What if Microsoft is about to release the 4th generation of Xbox? What are they going to name it? “Xbox 720 x 2” or “Xbox 1,440”?

Anyhow, let’s get down to the nitty gritty here. The so-called Xbox 720 will have several upgrades. Including the newest version of Kinect, the upcoming console will feature AV port for watching, recording and broadcasting TV, a Blu-ray Disc ROM, which Sony pretty much set as a standard last time, and more powerful processor.

Of course, without serious graphics power, any console wouldn’t have much to show for itself. Therefore there is going to be an advanced GPU in there as well. When we talk about graphics, we all know that they are a big influence on the gaming industry these days. My personal opinion is that Xbox 720 will have higher graphics performance as compared to the PS4 – Orbis.

How so? It’s not that PS4-Orbis developers aren’t putting in enough kick in the GPU. It’s just that sometimes Sony upgrades its hardware so much that game developers kind of experience a hard time coding, developing and presenting their masterpieces. Call it some kind of “incompatibility” with the current technology.

Coming back to the Xbox 720 topic, Kinect 2.0 will have more accuracy, a higher degree of sensitivity, better voice recognition software, cooler games and advanced level stereo imaging. At some stage, rumor has it that there are going to be augmented reality games for Xbox 720.

If that is the case, I am all up for a little bit of action in augmented reality. For now, the AR thing is probably just an idea or maybe Microsoft is keeping the lid too tight on it. However, as soon as we hear anything, we’re going to let you in on it. Take cares and have a great day.
