Samsung Galaxy Series Smartphone | Looking Pretty Cool, Huh?Just when you are getting cozy with Samsung devices, you hear about another security flaw. The last flaw let exploiters remotely wipe data and compromise sensitive information on Samsung Galaxy series and other handsets. What could be the big deal with another security pothole this time? Read on…

What’s Wrong with Samsung Devices this Time?

So I was talking about the last security flaw. Back then, the so called “hackers” could remotely swipe the phone back to its factory default settings. Usually, this annoyed a lot of users because they had to see their empty inboxes, empty contact list – so on and so forth. Sometimes, the exploiter could even access the person’s sensitive information.

Anyhow, the latest security flaw is somewhat similar. This time, Samsung smartphones are giving applications access to user data, while leaving handset in a very vulnerable state. “Enxynos 4” is an ARM processor based chip in many Samsung smartphones and tablet. So some guy designs an exploit to bypass the system permission, which basically allows all the applications installed in the smartphone to gain access to the core files.

With this exploit, the hacker could inject malicious scripts, keyloggers and all kinds of software that could remotely control the device. How did the guy find this exploit? Well, he had a Samsung Galaxy S3 mobile and he was trying to find a way to root it. It’s funny how he found out the exploit.

So far, Samsung hasn’t said a word about this incident. Maybe they are working on a revised version of the “Enxynos 4” on system chip. Until then, stay tuned folks.
