Sick of Stupid iPad and iPhone Related Rumors? I Know I am…
I bet you’re already tired of the so called “insider” or the “reliable source” claims, when it comes to iPhone and iPad related news. By the way, the rumor treadmill, on a general note, has been quite awful lately. There was a time when rumors had a tinge of legitimacy, but ever since guys like Michael Arrington and such people took over the blogosphere, things have been quite different.
So what we have here is another set of unrealistic claims that pertain to the iPhone, Android, Symbian and the iPad based handsets. Let’s take a look at these rumors and discuss their legitimacy;
- Front and Rear Facing Cameras in the iPad 5;
- This news piece is a bit old right now. The first time we heard about it, it was probably a few weeks ago. On top of that some CNBC correspondents decided to report the rear + front camera news again. Of course the iPad 5 will have these cameras, don’t you recall Steve Jobs saying in one of his Press Conferences that the iPad 1 was just a sample of what’s really in store for the clientele.
- The iPad 3 Will Have a Smaller Sibling;
- It’s the always truthful sort of news and I’ve head Fox News correspondents on this issue. They said that the iPad 5 will have another smaller version of the major upcoming device. Now we all know that Fox News representatives have a way of fabricating stuff. This is their way of creating a bit of hype in media. Or maybe, you can call it a lame attempt of gaining attention.
- Verizon’s iPhone is Different Than the One We Already Have;
First of all, Verizon hasn’t released the iPhone yet. Maybe they have it all prepped up, or maybe those slow pokes are in the middle of designing its plastic exterior. Whatever the reason may be, we haven’t heard a lot from Verizon on this topic.
BUT, we’ve heard and read a great deal of news about Verizon’s iPhone compatibility with CDMA and GSM networks. And just yesterday, I covered a report, which said that Verizon will release the iPhone in compliance with the LTE technology. So I guess, a little bit of wait is worth it.
By the way, Tim Cook also confirmed that the iPad 5 will have no bezel, and a very sleek overall look. The upcoming device is set for launch in October 2013. It is a lot waiting, but one cannot say anything for sure right now.
