I Just thought of these 2 Innovative Ideas for Data Centers
Individual consumers have been getting the love from tech developers for a long time. The only ignored or rather neglected community belonged to the data center world. However, latest futuristic developments and some rhetoric attention has resulted in a couple of cool innovations that match along perfectly with the Data Center based companies.
That didn’t make sense, did it? Probably the sentencing was offbeat or the English didn’t come out right. Anyhow, the point is that with the global expansion going all over the internet, companies are trying to find new ways to house data centers. If you don’t know what a data center is, you might as well Google it.
A data center is a place where a company’s web servers, servers are hosted. Since the servers require a low temperature environment, the best way to serve them cold is through massive scale air conditioning. However, this much level of air conditioning not only releases gasses that are harmful to the ozone, but also it increases the environmental temperature outside the data center.
If you don’t believe me, you can try standing near the exhaust vent of a split air conditioner. These things release a lot of heat. Now when we talk about a data center, we are talking about huge expense, electricity bills and an impact on the environment. Not cool at all. Here are 2 ideas from my side to all the data center owners to help them boost their experience.
-
Fiber optics with a twist
Right after the HDMI cable breakthrough, Intel stepped in and took the lead through its fiber optics. These fibrous cables will be used with laptops, desktop PCs and even TV sets to increase speed and give a smooth transmission to the clients. These cables are not going to be more than 3.2mm in size, and they’ll go on a full production scale in 2011.
*Data Centers will definitely be able to make use of 10GB/Sec Data Transmission modes!

Submerged Liquid Cooling & Horizontal Racks
Liquid cooling systems and those colored fluids do give your computer casing a perfect and racy look. However, individual buyers or home users are not the only people who need cooling systems. Data centers with a large number of servers packed in their closets; need these liquid cooling systems more than anything in the world.
A company named GR Cooling developed a new liquid cooling system that comprises of nontoxic oil, low electricity profile and some minerals that are not only environment friendly, but also perfect for huge data centers.
