We all remember the time when “Gangnam Style” video became a viral sensation at YouTube. It hit 1 Billion views last year in November, which is an astounding figure for an online video. At this moment, “Gangnam Style” is sitting in at more than 1 billion views at YouTube alone. The question, however, is: how much money did “Gangnam Style” make?

Nikesh Arora, Google’s Chief Business Offer, cheekily revealed that the K-Pop hit generated $8 Million revenue from YouTube ads alone. Wow, $8 Million…. Sigh, I wish I made “Gangnam Style” video or something similar. Anyhow, it would be just day dreaming, thinking about “doing” things, rather than actually taking any practical steps.

After Nikesh Arora’s disclosure about the “Gangnam Style” YouTube video revenue, experts did the math. They said that at this rate, the video was generating $0.65 per click. Multiply it with more than 1 billion views and you’ll get a whopping million dollar figure!!! Krrrchingg!!!

However, Psy guys probably got a piddling $4 million so far. Of course, other ways of cashing in the “Gangnam Style” video can’t be ignore here. If we take into account the iTunes download and the money coming from other websites where this video was uploaded, there’s a whole lot of cash to be counted.

Let this article be an inspiration for all the aspiring YouTubers out there. Please don’t give up on your dreams of making a viral video. Maybe you have made a few cents, but eventually, you’ll succeed big time. Trust me. Or maybe not… WHO GIVES A RAT’S ASS!!!
