It’s like a dream come true situation for interested clients who used to get scammed by online businesses. Google is now taking strict measure against businesses that haven’t been doing well lately. As a penalty for providing bad services, Google will also lower their search engine rankings. The move may be uncharacteristic in some business circles but Google is hell bent on setting some good examples.

Google took this action after a guy named Vitaly Borker told Times Magazine about certain online exploits. Borker claimed that his site’s high rankings were directly proportional to the many complaints that are posted by upset customers everywhere on the internet. “I’ve exploited this opportunity because it works. No matter where they post their negative comments, it helps my return on investment. So I decided, why not use that negativity to my advantage?”

Google’s representative, Amit Singhal told media, “I am here to tell you that being bad is, and hopefully will always be, bad for business in Google’s search results.” Singhal didn’t go into a lot of details but he did drop a few hints about the launch of a new algorithm that will judge a website’s ranking on the basis of user experience. If users have been dropping hateful comments about the website, the business’s rankings will go down the drain hole.

Singhal also said that Borker’s website had been benefiting from negative rankings, which will now be fixed by Google. Looks like Borker, along with his kind of party members will be going on a bumpy ride.
