Apple China | People Celebrating the Release of New iDeviceAnd it is time to discuss “matters of cooperation” with Chinese authorities, while Apple CEO Tim Cook is on his tour to China. Cook went to ‘China Mobile’ to discuss the future of smartphones and of course, to talk about some matters of immediate concern.

As you may or may not know, ‘China Mobile’ is the country’s largest carrier these days. If Apple’s CEO has taken a special flight, just to talk about the “future” of smartphones at China Mobile, there is something fishy going on.

Insiders are saying that it was more of a “cooperation” talk. However, the nature of this discussion is not being revealed for the time being. Miao Wei, head of China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology believes that Apple CEO’s visit to China is not a surprise.

As a matter of fact, this is Tim Cook’s second visit to China. The first time, when he visited China, 10 months ago, he went to Foxconn. The same Foxconn that’s been in the news for violating human rights and making its employees do overtime. On a side note, many Foxconn employees committed suicide because of poor work environment, low pay scale and peer pressure.

At the moment, with talks of the iPhone 6 going on these days, one can expect that Tim Cook’s China tours are about a soon to be released device. Or maybe China Mobile “could be starting to need the iPhone more”, as said by Rob Cihra, one of the analysts at ‘Evercore Partners’.
