It has been a while since T-Mobile has released something interesting for the subscribers. Every once in a while, the mobile phone services company releases something enticing – But what really interests me is T-Mobile’s cheap rates.

The first time, I came across the $10 tethering deal by T-Mobile for Android handsets, I was baffled. “Oh boy, either they’re high on something, or there must be hidden charges stuffed in there somewhere like a thanksgiving turkey”, that’s what I thought.

It turns out that the deal is quite fair, there are no shady strings attached to it (not quite visible). The wireless carrier made announcements pertaining to a $10 and $15 tethering plan for Android clients. However, the only cliché in this deal is that you have to be an existing customer on the company’s ongoing unlimited data plan.

There are a couple of tid bits of gems that you have to know. Besides, you know how companies do it. They paint a perfect HALF picture in front of you. Right when you’re up to your neck with their lucrative deal – BANG! The bear trap snaps close.

First thing’s first; the unlimited data plan costs around $30, in some cases its $15 too. The important thing is that you don’t actually use that much of a bandwidth. You don’t remain hooked to your smartphone’s online packages 24/7, and even if you’re, additional bucks need to be doled out for paid content.

The $10 plan that T-Mobile is raving about, it is a good deal. The big setback is that you’ll be downgraded to 200Mb of tethering on monthly basis. That’s sort of shocking for people who check their emails and download “tid bits” of applications on regular basis. They end up saying, WHAAAAAAATTTT and down goes all the bandwidth within the first week.
