You select the entire material with the swipe of a finger, but don’t know what to do from this point onwards. How to Print Magazine App Readable Material from iPad, Android, iOS Magazine Applications?

I basically own an iPad and an HTC One X cellphone. I think I have already spoken a couple of times about the HTC mobile – no big deal here. It’s the iPad that I am concerned about because it could relate to other users out there. 

Anyhow, I tend to catch up on my reading through magazine applications, both on the iPad and on the Android device(s). I don’t stick with one device because then it would limit my ability to access readable content whenever I’m on the move.

The question is: According to your standards, what defines a magazine app? I’m guessing you read stuff on your mobile phone, or tablets, at following websites:

• Wired
• Gawker
• Times
• Huffington Post
• Entertainment Weekly
• Men’s Health

This list can go on and on. The point is that whenever you have found something important, your little heart desires for it to be in a printed version. The only problem is that you don’t know how to print stuff from your iPad, iPhone or Android device. Most of these apps do no let you print! Ironic, isn’t it? 

It’s that old fleeting sensation of ripping a page from a magazine just because the content was worth reading. I used to rip pages from school library books when I was a kid. I know it is not something to brag about. So let’s not talk about it.

• Start with taking a screen shot of the stuff that you want to print from your magazine app.
• On the iPad, you can take a screenshot by pressing the Wake, Power, Sleep button + the Home button at the same time. Remember, you have to press these buttons at the same time, otherwise the iPad will just turn off, go to sleep or do nothing.
• Your screenshot is now saved in your images gallery. All you have to do is tap the “Print” button and that’s it. Make sure that your wireless printer is set up with your iPad, iPhone or whatever device you are using.

For Kindle Users – It Works the Other Way:

• Maybe you have a Kindle Fire or Kindle Fire HD. You need to press the “Power Button” and the “Volume Down Button”; both at the same time. Doing so will emit a shutter sound, indicating that a screenshot has just been saved in the Kindle Images Gallery.
• This image is stored in the Kindle Pictures app folder: “Screenshots”.
• Press the Print button or transfer the image to a PC to get a printout.

For Nook Users – How to Print Articles?

• Same process here; you want to start out by taking a screenshot.
• For Nook HD+ and Nook HD, the screenshot buttons are “Volume Down” + the lower case “n”. Hold the buttons for 2 seconds or the screenshot will not be saved.

For Android Users with OS 4.0 or Higher:

• Take the magazine app page screenshot by pressing the Power Button + Volume Down Key at the same time.
• The image will be stored in Gallery/ Screenshots directory.
• If the Screenshots directory is not showing up. You need to enable the folder view by “Show/Hide” options of your Gallery menu.

In the end, a Cloud Print Application can let you print as many pages/ screenshots as you want. There is literally no end to it.
