Firefox Security Made Easy with Addons
One of the main reasons that Firefox is highly demanded is the number of addons that are available online. More importantly, most of the available Firefox addons increase the existing security protocols of your browser. Take a look at some important addons that you wouldn’t regret installing;
Web of Trust:
- First one on the list is Web of Trust. This addon gives a rating to every website on the Internet in terms of security risks. The green indicator mentions that you are good to go, where as the “Red” indicator pretty much speaks up for itself.
AdBlock Plus:
- AdBlock Plus prevents those irritating windows from popping up. Often times, you need to visit a website that has its own share of ads. Don’t let your screen taken over by a dozen ads that block your view and prevent you from seeing the actual text before some sort of subscription vacation packages to remote areas of Slovakia.
LastPass:
- LastPass is a complete password manager. It will rip off your passwords that your browser stores in its cookies so that hackers can’t get lucky anymore. LastPass stores your passwords into a remote location that only you can access.
On a side note, i am not using Mozilla these days. It’s just good old Chrome and endless browsing sessions. The reason i am using Chrome is because it is light and doesn’t strain my laptop’s performance.
You’ll find that on Google Chrome, they have the Ad Block addon available at the marketplace. It is good and yes, it does work at helping you avoid unwanted advertisements and websites. Do give it a shot and let us know through the comments section below.
