Android Applications Wallpaper - Google ImagesSince the first camera phone was released, photography itself has gone through a lot of transitions.  Technology took a few leaps and megapixels and stuff like that greatly improved the camera phone experience. Right now, a combination of best camera apps, advanced mobile OS and the make and model of camera itself is on its maximum.

Take a look at some of the best Android apps for photography enthusiasts;

Retro Camera

  • This is a free application that is supposedly the love child of Hipstamatic. Although, Hipstamatic is not available to Android users, Retro Camera is very much there to make up for any shortcomings. I can assure you that Retro will rock your Android phone through simple tools, such as;
    • Film Grain
    • Monochrome
    • Cross Processing
    • Noise Reduction
    • Frames

Vignette £2.99

  • If you ask me, £2.99 is not too much to ask. Vignette is loaded with enormous selection of effects to choose from. Forget about traditional Sepia and Black & White crap, Vignette has;
    • Lens Effect
    • Fish Eye Mode
    • Cinematic Effect
    • Outline Effect

FxCamera:

  • Just like Vignette, FxCamera follow the same “effects” track. You can either enhance your photos through Photoshop and transfer them to the smartphone for FxCamera magic, or directly work your way through the stuff without moving photos anywhere.

Some other applications that I have used and been in love with are Pixlr Express and Pixlromatic. Both of these applications are really good for applying effects, filters and sharpening photos. I wouldn’t rate Instagram as an application, even though it does a fine job. Instagram is more like a service where people just sign up and share their visual experiences with the rest of the community.
