As Prime Minister Modi continues his U.S. visit, his government back home continues to struggle with wooing investors to come forward and invest in the economy. The Prime Minister has during all bilateral meetings and time and again asked major economies to invest in India.
Similarly, during the bilateral talks held between Modi and Japanese counterpart and officials, Modi had welcomed the investors from the country to test the Indian soils for investment purposes.

But the Japanese investors have responded by saying that if India wants their investment and efforts then the first thing that has to be done away with is the corruption that pervades the economy. They have said that corruption can’t be ignored if India wants Investment.
Ever since Modi took the office, he has scrapped multiple unwanted laws and bodies – an indicator of the new government’s approach that focuses on doing away with corruption, bureaucracy and red tape, which foreign investors in India have often being found complaining about.
