Spick and span, the Canon 200MM F/2 IS L Lens is probably what most users have called a ‘Master’ category lens. I don’t know about you but when you have this baby strapped on a 5D Mark ii despite of a wide open on F/2, the results are way too smooth.

Not only will it get you attentive gazes from balmy blokes nearby, but it will get you the type of results that you really deserve. Sharpness, image smoothness, definition, clarity, blur levels – it is all in there. Crazy, I say, Crazy!!!

• Canon 85mm F/1.2 II L Lens

Price: $1,999 Max – $1501 Min.

If you own a Canon 85mm F/1.2 II L Lens and need to see its full potential, play with its settings a little. At F/4, the lens delivers unparalleled results. If you want that dreamy soft edged look, go for the F/1.2. If you desire a very sharp and pristine image quality, go for F/1.8 then. The fact of the matter is that at each level, whether it is higher or lower, the Canon 85mm F/1.2 II L Lens will give you something new to look at.

I don’t know about you, but within my collection of Canon DSLR lenses, the Canon 85mm F/1.2 II L Lens is the only lens which gives 100% edge to edge definition. The images are laser sharp at F/4.0, which is why I like to use this lens more often on the EOS 5D Mark ii, rather than mounting it atop Canon EOS 40D. The photos on your iMac or Windows based device are going to look like as if you are staring out at something through a window.

• Canon 135mm F/2 L Lens

Price: $979 Max – $821 Min.

Compared to Canon 85mm F/1.2 II lens, the Canon 135mm F/2 L Lens delivers somewhat same performance. I’d say that by a close ratio, there is a tie. But in its own way, this lens has its attributes. For instance, the Bokeh transitions to a sweet candy wrap kind of style.

At wider settings, the lens begins to show its true colors. The only hitch is that lens is a tad bit small. It is light, it is fast, AND it doesn’t zoom – Perfect for portrait shots, face close-ups (without zooms of course), and mainstream work in large studios. When not on EOS 5D Mark ii, the Canon 135mm F/2 L Lens gives sharper results on Canon EOS 40D and Canon Rebel series cameras. If you own all three cameras, feel free to tinker around.
