The $2 Million iPad Theft – Airport Employee Arrested
If you are going to plan a robbery, or a theft for that matter, you gotta add professionalism to it. Look what Renel Rene Richardson did, the guy, who not to mention the fact that he is now a former John F. Kennedy Airport employee, apparently had too big a mouth that landed him behind bars.
His $2 million iPad mini theft would have probably gone smooth if he hadn’t blabbed about it already. What Renel Rene Richardson did was that prior to executing his plan, he kept asking people around for shipment timings and different ways of operating forklifts. He could have conducted a web search on forklift tutorials at least.
Hell, if I’d have been Richardson, I’d have searched YouTube for forklift tutorials… or whatever. Anyhow, the Feds have arrested Renel Rene Richardson for his alleged role in the theft. He used to work in the exact Cargo Air Services building where a shipment of iPad Mini worth $1.9 million was to arrive. Unfortunately, a chunk of these tablets still managed to get stolen.
It turns out that Richardson had two accomplices. The other two guys managed to get away with more than 3,000 iPad Minis. They had a truck and drove out all the way to nowhere… Police is still trying to conclude the investigation for now.
