Lili Solis and Her Notorious iPhone Case - Twitter Teen

Meet Lili Solis (I hope that’s her real name); an “average” teen who doesn’t know much about the nation’s history. Solis recently posted a photo of herself holding an iPhone case. Under ordinary circumstances, twitter tweeters would have commented about her legs, her clothes and anything that provoked a sexual frenzy from members of the opposite sex.

However, in Solis’s case, it was the iPhone case which not only made her famous, but also got her hundreds of hateful tweets. Oh yeah, people of the social media can be very mean and angry at times. Our young twitter user, Lili Solis, who is known by the Twitter ID: @itslilisolis recently posted a photo, accompanied by a tweet about her newly bought iPhone case.

@itslilisolis – I really hope this is the UK flag or otherwise it was a waste of $25.” If anything else, this phone case was not exactly the 100% accurate replica of the UK flag. Although this notoriously famous iPhone case did have the same color combination as that of the UK’s flag, but it was the image of the Confederate Navy Jack.

Yes, the same Confederate Navy Jack image that appeared repeatedly during the U.S. Civil War and the years stretching around 1863. Days after posting the tweet, young Lili realized her mistake. On the up side, she got more than 600 retweets, while receiving death threats and wishful tweets from people who wanted a Church Van to hit her on next Sunday trip.

One individual expressed his hatred/ dislike for Lili, by tweeting this:

@Jamesgao9123348:

@itslilisolis

Do all of us a favor and please don’t have kids. We have enough morons in the world today.”

To this day, many red blooded Americans associate the Confederate Navy Jack flag image with the South’s former Jim Crow segregation laws. In Lili’s case, she was posting a photo of her newly bought iPhone case. But sometimes, things run a little differently in the online world.

A study conducted by National Assessment of Education Progress (NAEP) in 2010, shows that a very small percentage of American students know about their country’s history. For instance, only 9 percent fourth graders were able to identify Abraham Lincoln, while the rest of them thought that he was Jesus or a crazy guy with a hat! Ouch
