Sony Has High Hopes Tied to the Waterproof Sony Xperia Z Handset
Sony is hoping to make big bucks with its upcoming Xperia Z smartphone. I mean, this device is not too shabby. It’s got 443 PPi display that stretches over 5 inch screen, a 13 Megapixel camera, which is far more than the one in HTC One X, and a snapdragon quad core processor.
But the best and the most unusual thing about Sony Xperia Z is that it is completely waterproof. You can submerge this handset in a glass of water and it will still keep on running. To be honest, I always longed to wash my cellphone with soap and water, because of all the dust particles that accumulate in those hard to reach areas.
Sony Xperia Z – What to Expect from It?
The first thing to expect from this device is that it is waterproof (already stated above) and it works as advertised. You have the full liberty of going to the retailer and dipping the handset in a glass of water, right in front of the salesman. If the smartphone keeps on working, it’s fair enough. If its screen turns off, you can slam it in the guy’s face and walk away, holding your pride sky high.
Other than the Xperia Z, Sony is also releasing the Xperia ZL, a slightly low grade version of the same smartphone. The director of Xperia marketing, Calum MacDougall said that Sony is hoping to bring the real “Sony” smartphone experience to its users in an all new way.
On the other hand, some competitors are thinking that Sony apparently ran out of ideas, which is why they suddenly introduced a rather silly concept of making a waterproof smartphone. Do you know what a Red Blooded Kayaking expert would say? The guy on a kayak would love to take the Xperia Z with him on his watery boat trips.
Same goes for underwater swimmers who cannot connect with their loved ones while they are busy snorkeling. The only thing a diver needs to know is that he would have to remain near the water surface. If he goes down too deep, the Xperia Z might run out of reception. And even though underwater swimmers won’t be able to receive calls and talk, they can still send text messages on the Xperia Z.
Another good thing about the upcoming Sony smartphone is its “Battery Stamina” booster. The moment your smartphone screen will go to the inactive black state, the battery stamina booster will activate on its own. Of course, battery life is a big issue going on with high end smartphones these days. The stamina booster is expected to be a nice addition against this pending issue.

About Nikki Malik
Nikki Malik brags about writing a bazillion books, including several best selling novels. We haven't seen any of them though. By the way, she also talks about being a winner of virtually every award that the literary community has to offer. Nikki modestly notes that: "It's not that other writer's are less talented than I am...there are a lot a good writers out there. Bunches of 'em. It's just that I seem to write at this different--some might say higher--level than everybody else. That's really all it is."
