Microsoft Claims to have Sold 1.5 Million Windows 7 Phone Smartphones and Devices in 6 Weeks
Wow, just when we were hearing accounts of how lame the Windows 7 Mobile phone OS and Windows 8 OS is, Microsoft released some surprising figures. First off, the company officials say that they have witnessed over a million copies of Windows 7 Mobile phone OS based devices within the first 6 weeks of its launch. If that’s true then why didn’t anyone say anything about it before?
On top of this, Microsoft is also going through a self-proclaimed phase that it likes to call as a “realistic expectation”. The Windows 7 Mobile phone OS officials are expecting another million sales by the mid 2011 timeline. They think that the renowned OS has a chance to toe up against Google’s Android OS and iPhone’s iOS.

To further comment on the WPH7 sales figure thing, we happened to have a little chit chat with Achim Berg – the Vice President of the Business and Marketing section of Windows mobile OS. He said, “It’s a decent number. The mobile market is going to be a victorious battle for Microsoft.”
He said so, on the basis of Microsoft’s overall expense that amounted up to $500 million, with respect to the Windows 7 Mobile OS development. Well, let’s just hope that Microsoft can do a lot better than what its claiming right now.
A lot of people are still holding on to the fact that the company never released the highly promised Copy-paste feature alongside the release of the dreaded operating system for their would-be smartphones.
