Kindle is the Biggest Seller – Amazon Bragging about Phenomenal Sales Figure
The Holiday season is long gone and for a lot of companies, it brought a truckload of revenue. Just like the whole bandwagon, Amazon is also bragging about sales figures pertaining to Kindle 3 eReader. As usual, Amazon has not actually released the total amount of dollars earned or, the overall amount of number of units sold.
The company just said that Kindle 3 and rest of the Kindle product lineup surpassed the sales of ever so popular Harry Potter series story books. It is a little hard to believe because a quick recap will reveal that Amazon has been coming up with such strange news in the past. As far as Kindle 1 and Kindle 2 eBook Readers are concerned, no one ever said anything about the total number of units sold.
According to Bloomberg officials, Kindle 3 was primarily targeting a huge audience of 8 million readers. What was this rumor/report based on? Well, Bloomberg said that it has intimate knowledge of the company’s sales projections. Plus, their own experts are quite good with analyzing previous performance charts, to predict the upcoming sales trend for any other organization.
Overall, Amazon’s peak sales day was Nov. 29 – 2012, when customers ordered more than 13.7 million items worldwide across all product categories—which translates to 158 items per second, which Amazon also claimed was a record-breaker for the company.
As more people turned on new Kindles for the first time on Christmas Day than on any other day since Amazon began selling the device three years ago, “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo” was the most purchased and most gifted e-book within that 24-hour time period.

About Nikki Malik
Nikki Malik brags about writing a bazillion books, including several best selling novels. We haven't seen any of them though. By the way, she also talks about being a winner of virtually every award that the literary community has to offer. Nikki modestly notes that: "It's not that other writer's are less talented than I am...there are a lot of good writers out there. Bunches of 'em. It's just that I seem to write at this different--some might say higher--level than everybody else. That's really all it is."
