The revamped version of MegaUpload is just around the corner. We have already talked about MEGA, as one of Kim Dotcom’s next big projects. The former Mega Upload founder is very excited about the upcoming launch of his new file sharing service. Recently, Kim announced a free 50GB storage space for new MEGA users.

What’s even more appealing is that this 50GB Mega storage offer is open to all users, whether they are free or paying customers. Kim DotCom has been sending updates through his Twitter account. He was also concerned about reinstating the Premium user status of former Mega Upload users who had been paying all this while.

However, at this moment, it is not possible for Kim to restore premium user status. Furthermore, Kim DotCom’s tweets also mentioned that more perks and additional features are going to be introduced for new Mega users. Even though the U.S. government shutdown MegaUpload because of copyright violations, money laundering accusations, illegal profits and criminal file sharing, Kim is adamant on making a come back.

MEGA is going to be launched from New Zealand, since Kim is not in the U.S. anymore. According to his side of the story, he was set up by the U.S. government after complying with a federal search warrant that targeted five file sharing services. These file sharing services were reportedly using MegaUpload’s infrastructure.
