Vitamin C is Naturally Found in FruitsHow well do you know your vitamins? What about vitamin C in particular? In today’s post, we’re going to talk about possible dangers and risks associated with taking too much vitamin C. Read on…

A Small Overdose of Vitamin C Could Turn Out to Be Nature’s Cruel Joke!

Vitamin C is also known as ascorbic acid. In other words, your body will start surveying and scrimping off its bones if it doesn’t get enough vitamin C. However, how much is enough of it? Some people take a 1000 Mg of soluble vitamin C tablet, thinking that their body will pass out the excess amount through urination, while the required amount is absorbed.

We’ll get to the over dose debate later, first we’re going to take a look at natural resources of vitamin C. This vitamin is present naturally in various food items, spread over a combination of vegetables and fruits. For instance, if your kid or any family member doesn’t have a likeness towards C, you can try notching up their diet plan through:

  • Citrus Fruit
  • Oranges
  • Orange Juice
  • Chili

The Part Where Vitamin C Is Too Much:

Everything in life can be good for you, if taken in moderation and at the proper time. Vitamin C is one of the biggest gifts of nature but its overdose, or excessive amount can lead to a lot of ailments. It is important to include this vitamin in your daily diet regimen, instead of making it a major part of it.

Yes, it is true that excessive amount of Vitamin C is passed out through urine, but for that, you’re going to have to drink lots of water. People who drink water like a parched camel; they do have the tendency to pass out all the toxins and extra vitamins through urine. However, it is not enough.

Do note that we’re only talking about people who drink LOTS of water. What about folks who take a healthy diet, lots of multivitamins, but they fail to drink enough water? The recommended dose of vitamin C is 2,000 mg for adults. You can break it down for kids, depending on their bone structure and overall vitamin C deficiencies.

The dangers of excess vitamin C can be seen in the form of:

-          Vomiting

-          Dizziness or Nausea

-          Tummy Aches

-          “Unexplained” Headaches

-          Heartburn and Restlessness

-          Insomnia

-          Stoning in Kidney

As a matter of fact, if you’re willing to ask your doctor to pull up a sheet on vitamin C side effects, he’ll let you know about many other biological issues.  So, keep in mind that you have to follow a natural approach to weight loss and a healthy life style.

There’s no need to take extra vitamins, supplements and body toning meds, as long as they don’t come from a highly credible source. Next in this article series, you’ll learn about the recommended weight loss supplements, alongside a workout and diet plan that’ll do wonders for you.
