How to Customize BlinkFeed on a Brand New HTC One?
BlinkFeed is the news feed feature that comes with HTC One. The Taiwanese smartphone company was having trouble keeping up against competitor products. However, with HTC One’s release, they really gave a hard time to all the bigwig smartphone manufacturers out there.
So anyhow, you got your HTC One. You are admiring all of its cool features. You look down and see the BlinkFeed widget, “Oh, now that’s something that I’d love to customize further.” By default, the BlinkFeed pushes in news from all reliable sources as accurately as possible. However, there are times when a particular newsfeed is irrelevant to you because you are not used to seeing that particular source that much.
Here’s the thing, through this tutorial, you can customize the BlinkFeed on HTC One to show particular news, or you can remove it once and for all. The stories served through this feature will be done on priority basis after you are through with the steps explained below.
Step One:
To get started with HTC One BlinkFeed customization, tap the home button to make sure that you’re at the relevant screen. The drop down menu offers multiple options, such as the ability to filter down to specific feeds. To do this, tap the dotted area on the right hand side and select which topics you’d like to see.

Step Two:
The above screenshot will illustrate how you can select different websites. If you were to swipe your finger to the left side of the screen, an additional categories option will pop up. The right side swipe motion will show you services that you can dump in as part of the active BlinkFeed. Once set, tap the “Back Button”; the feed will refresh and start to show up as they are published from the server side.

I personally don’t keep anything on my Home Screen. To do this, tap the widget on your home screen, but don’t lift your finger yet. In a few seconds, a pop up bar at the top of the Home Screen will show up. Drag and drop the widget on the “Remove” button. It will be highlighted in Red. There you have it, all gone, leaving behind a crisp layout on your HTC One screen.
