Different Ways to Optimize Your Blackberry for Business
First off, I have to give credit where credit is due (believe me, it’s a long chain of credits … read on). This post was originally posted by our friends at “Mashable”, who read it somewhere in the American Express OPEN Forums, who probably read it in a business journal. Later on, it sort of clicked right away, so we thought of posting it here as well. Okay, let’s see, what the anticipation is all about…
Talking about the business world and smartphone applications, RIM is still not too shabby for managing your work routine. To help you get the most out of your office related stuff, we concocted a list of different ways that can help you to maximize that much needed productivity.
- Battery Life Extension:
- Battery life is among those extremely important things that count a lot. Think of it this way, you’ve got a bundle of applications and no battery! What good is it anyway? If you don’t want your blackberry handset to die in the middle of that important task, you have two options. You can choose to buy an extra battery, which seems like a bit of a hassle. OR you can buy an emergency charger. Go for Dual 1850, it’s going to cost you $19.99 and it’s capable of charging two devices at the same time.
- Increase Protection:
- Running a new business will normally pitch you on work site a lot of times. Especially if it’s a construction business or a real estate work profile, you’re going to be in for a lot of travelling. Many business personnel overlook the importance of protective cases, but a slight crack on the screen or that scratch is going to look ugly. And above all, those cracks and marks are going to stay there forever. Try going for a case, you can choose one from Blackberry’s official store.
- Increase Reception:
- Reception can be a big issue and usually, poor reception kicks in while you’re in the middle of a very important conversation. Apparently there are no viable solutions to increase reception, but Wilson Electronics has a list of several alternatives. One of them is known as “MobilePro Reception Booster”. It’s going to cost you $148, but the expense is definitely worth it.
