Atul Shedage of Defencely – Youngest Indian CTO Gears Up for Next Gen Cloud Security Services
“It’s a mind over matter thing, my friend.” Ritesh Sarvaiya, the CEO of Defencely added while taking a satisfying sip of Macchiato, probably one of his favorites. “And yes, it is a result of team work, which includes your writing skills, plus all the visionary elements to promote Defencely as the next big cloud security platform,” he continued with a chuckle.
For a second, I could see a beam of happiness behind Ritesh’s rimmed glasses.
I had this conversation with Ritesh A. Sarvaiya last week at his lavish residence. We didn’t think of it as an interview then – it was a friendly convo, but over time when we contemplated how Defencely came to be, and how Ritesh spotted Atulkumar Hariba Shedage to entitle him the youngest CTO (Chief Technology Officer) in India, I knew a story was cookin’.
Hell, I wanted to write something; not because it was a gig – Because I was aching to let the entire world know about Atul’s sublime skills as an upcoming security researcher and how Ritesh A. Sarvaiya, the current CEO of Defencely is rendering services for Google, Apple, Zynga – the very few conglomerates of the internet.
Atulkumar H. Shedage of Defencely – Not an Unsung Hero Anymore
He’s 22, a regular chip off the old block, and he is already imprinting the online industry as an upcoming security analyst. If you look at the kid, his scrawny build and horn rimmed glasses hardly hint any killer hacking skills locked somewhere deep.
The buzz is already out. Last week, when EHN News website interviewed Atul concerning his part in Defencely as a CTO, everyone knew that the guy’s up to light a fire. Things got more interesting when the 22 year’s old batch mates from Pune University – Computer Science Department, raved about his skills at Facebook.
The “buzz” further connected to Hell Bound Bloggers, who also took the opportunity to have a word with the Defencely reps. Catch a glimpse of that interview here.
So what is Defencely? In a nutshell, Defencely is a web security and web application penetration testing company. Their professionals test online businesses and companies for gaping security holes. But wait a minute, the question is: what makes Defencely so unique if it is already doing what other security companies are doing?

Technically, as far as identifying vulnerabilities and reporting them is concerned, Defencely is how online business owners can relate to a conventional cloud security platform these days. However, it is the vulnerability FIXING part, which sets Defencely a hundred miles apart from regular run-of-the-mill security analysts.
Why Defencely when other Online Security Companies are there?
The ride back to my apartment was not the same that day. The taxi mauled through its usual route, while I was seated on the back seat, pondering the next part of this article. I had to contact Atul for a one on one interview concerning further Defencely related details.
Already, the rubbery seat was squeaking beneath me, as the taxi jolted ideas all over India’s familiar potholes. Next stop; Atul’s humble abode. We had a quick discussion in his drawing room. From what I gathered, there are numerous online security services companies – At least in that context, or by definition, Defencely’s primary intent is no different than others. What sets this company apart is a number of benefits that it provides to its customers at a wide scale:
- 0 Day Vulnerabilities – Perhaps quite a tough feat to perform on behalf of security companies, Defencely has to be on the lookout for unknown vulnerabilities. Their state of the art technology, alongside a blend of experts ensures early threat detection a piece of cake. The best part is that it never gets stale!
- All in One Solution – Defencely does not segment its services and packages to rip off potential unsuspecting clients. Both ‘Scanning’ and ‘Vulnerability Detection’ are packaged in one module for customer benefits.
- Obligation to Strengthen – The company is driven by an obligation to strengthen online security parameters. Unlike competitors, this company feels an urge to make the World Wide Community a secure place for the goodwill of fellow users.

If it weren’t for Atulkumar H. Shedage’s knack for testing those websites manually and then having the knowledge to illustrate a manual to fix them, Defencely would have been trotting the internet as any other service provider. Plus, the guy has always called dibs on putting manual testing, rather than relying on automated vulnerability scanners.
Atul is a firm believer in “destiny”. He never chose online security as a profession. Upon enrollment at the university, he vividly recalls the day when he wanted to be a top class website designer. Given his friend’s advice and probably the idea of ethically hacking online platforms, he was already engrossed in becoming something awesome.
You can always ping Atul at any one of his social media profiles. Facebook, Twitter & LinkedIn.
Defencely.Com – India’s No.1 Niche Cloud Security Business:
Defencely was a long march. Ask any of its team members; they’ll tell you that they have burned the midnight oil to crisp black fumes. However, most of the credit goes to Ritesh Sarvaiya, the CEO of this business.
About Ritesh Sarvaiya – Defencely CEO:
If I were to write something about Defencely as a business and Ritesh as its CEO, it is meant to highlight their hard work, rather than taking a shot at a sloppy preselling tactic. No sir; no ma’am.
Ritesh has the eye for talent, and he could see it thousands of miles apart when the guy was looking for a writer, or whenever he’s looking for a new money making idea.
The bottom line will always be a testament to India’s unscrupulous progress in the IT sector. Brilliant minds will always keep on harvesting great ideas, no matter where they are. Defencely is Ritesh’s biggest contribution to the internet as a niche cloud security company. Thanks to Atul’s skills, Defencely has been acknowledged by Google, RedHat, GitHub and etc. at their Hall of Fame webpages.
Ritesh A. Sarvaiya is heading Defencely as the next gen Cloud Security Services Company for Small & Big Enterprise businesses alike. Positioned as the CEO, Ritesh envisions this online platform unique because of 100% guaranteed solutions to vulnerability detection, reporting & fixing operatives.
Ritesh is always open to your genuine input at his network profiles. LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook . In addition, you can input your invaluable suggestions to Defencely members at hi@defencely.com .
Rahul Varshneya – Defencely Advisory Board Member:
Writer, venture capitalist, mentor and above all, a great entrepreneur, Rahul lends his assistance at Defencely as the ‘Advisory Board Member.’ He is also heading ‘Arkenea Technologies’; a partner to entrepreneurs and clients who require professional services concerning mobile app and mobile business development.
Besides, Arkenea, Mr. Varshneya also oversees several other side projects. He is a registered member at ‘Young Entrepreneurs Council – (An Invite Only Network), for people who are looking to support startup businesses and self-made individuals. Rahul is a big +1 for people who are aiming for the fences.
