Ye Olde’ Wine | Is Amazon Goin to Sell Your Favorite Poison?
Amazon never ceases to amaze its billions of customers from all over the globe. The biggest online shopping platform is now thinking of selling wine and alcohol based drinkables in near future. Experts suggest that Amazon already had plans of doing so a couple of years ago.
If you have a company big enough as Amazon, I think you can bend the rules a little bit. First off, it was wine glasses and exquisite containers; now it is real life wine bottles that are going to be ordered anytime soon – Kudos to parching your throats and giving full rein to alcoholism.
According to Wall Street Journal reports, Amazon is at the verge of introducing a dedicated wine marketplace. This is going to happen in a matter of few weeks from today. Last time, when the company’s executives were secretly meeting in Napa, they were actually paying visits to over 100 different top quality wineries.
Imagine the magnitude of this store and the level of business opportunities that’s going to be offered to winery owners. A hundred different wineries would at least suggest 200 different types of wines. Shoppers are still going to have to follow a certain level of restrictions. For instance, you will have to be over 18 years old, you will probably need the consent of your parents, and you will need to pay a joining fee to purchase any number of wine bottles.
Amazon has also made the winery owners sign a NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement) to proceed with the intended business plans. It appears that the online shopping company is very much insistent on selling alcohol to people from all over the world.
What will next on Amazon’s “To Sell” list? I am guessing silk wrapped balls of heroine? Ganja? Hash or maybe some high quality Cocaine? Yeah, it is just a matter of time now. Maybe the U.S. government will legalize “Proposition Weed” and Amazon will step in to make it a possibility to sell and purchase weed containers. I mean, who knows…
