Cool Hunter Facebook Fan Page Blocked for Life…
With more than 788,000 fans, your online Facebook business page cannot afford to get blocked. It would mean a loss of great revenue and exposure in days to come. However, it appears that Facebook can still boot you without any prior warning…
‘The Cool Hunter’ AKA Tikos is or perhaps WAS one of the upcoming design and pop culture website on the internet. Facebook just blocked/ deactivated their fan page – Hence sending this online company to its doom. The founder of Tikos is just as much shocked as thousands of users who logged in to their Facebook accounts to see that ‘The Cool Hunter’ Facebook fan page updates are no longer there…
Over 8 weeks ago, Bill Tikos, the founder of ‘The Cool Hunter’ started moaning about how his business severely got hurt by Facebook’s tandum. It has been almost two months since the website’s page has been taken down by Facebook authorities without ANY prior warning.
The sucky thing in this entire ordeal is that Facebook isn’t even properly rendering its customer service to help the poor guy out. Overall, the recent stats suggested a whopping 10,000 click throughs per day for Cool Hunter. There were 2.1 million online visitors, inclusive of Facebook clicks. As of this moment, things are just looking bleak like a dark endless volley of tunnels.
According to Bill Tikos, the recent statement goes on like this, “Our Facebook presence has been a unique and extremely important part of our strategy. It is the water cooler of our global community. Losing our Facebook Fanpage is NOT just a minor hick-up. It is a serious loss of connection and interaction, and a loss of massive amount of content as well.”
Tikos, I think you forgot to mention one more thing. “Revenue”, my friend, revenue. After all, it is all about losing money in the long run. ‘The Cool Hunter’ used to provide exposure to hundreds of artists and designers on daily basis. People would just log on to the company’s Facebook page to post images, visual updates and interact with fellow members to add something nice to the editorial.
Facebook simply said that some of the images were infringing some kind of copyright laws that no one will probably get to hear or see in the long run. Eventually, Tikos will just sniffle and give himself a pat on the back. There’s no way his Facebook page will ever get to see the light of the day…
